Mary, Queen of Scots Miniature Portrait Pendant
#RH-MQS - Throughout the age of the Tudors, miniature portraits were exchanged as tokens of love and friendship and were worn by the recipient, often suspended from a chain or hung from a large brooch.
The original miniature of Mary, Queen of Scots was painted by Nicholas Hilliard during her captivity in England, which lasted from 1567 to 1587 when she was executed as a result of the Babington Plot.
The miniature is painted in the traditional style with period appropriate materials. It arrives framed in a 2.5" diameter gold-plated pendant frame ready to suspend from the chain, ribbon, or brooch of your choice.
Imported by special order. We ask that you please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery on all miniature portraits as each is a uniquely created work of art.
