Cheapside Hoard Earrings
#MR-801E - These earrings are reproduced from a garnet and enamel necklace, part of the incredible Cheapside Hoard of Elizabethan jewelry now in the collection of the Museum of London. The Cheapside Hoard is the greatest collection of late Tudor and early Stuart jewellery which has been found to date. Discovered in an old wooden casket buried beneath one of London's busiest streets, the jewels had lain undisturbed for over 300 years until their discovery in 1912.
Made of gold-plated sterling silver, set with garnets and accented by enamel, these earrings measure 1.75" long x .25" wide.
Imported.
