Bella Abita Renaissance Gown

Italy was long known for elaborate works of art and the Italian dress, Bella Abita, is no exception.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Renaissance often ostentatiously displayed parts of the chemise or shirt because finely woven fabric could have been the most costly part of the outfit.

Fashioned after gowns worn in the late 1400s, this comfortable fit dress is made of cotton velveteen, the closest modern equivalent to period velvet.

The bodice is embroidered with a period motif in gold or silver to match the trim (these designs are assorted, please allow us to choose). This flattering, unlined gown is machine wash and dry.

We recommend the gown with our ruffled or classic chemise (not included).
