ABOUT US

Elizabethan Outfitters is a family owned business, located in North Carolina, USA and dedicated to providing the highest quality renaissance clothing and accessories to re-enactors, renaissance faires, historic sites, museums, theatrical companies, and films.

We make our garments from durable, clothing-quality fabrics, which we find is a welcome departure from the Halloween Costumes you'll find in your local costume shops. Many of our styles are made right here in the United States by skilled tailors and seamstresses. Our renaissance costumes are real clothes! Also, due to popular request, we've recently expanded our offerings to include many of our garments in sizes up to 5X.

Our renaissance clothing collection is the result of years of research into the costumes of the period. We recreate many of our garments direcly from extant examples in museums, or from historic patterns made by fashion historians. Others are inspired by portraits of the time period, tapestries, and written descriptions.
